New Data Push Support for Cross Application Data Maps
Data maps with member(s) mapping and data maps to a remote target environment are now supported as the data push, which were previously only supported as a Smart Push.
Prior to this update, when you tried data push for a data map with member mappings or a data map with a remote target environment, you got the message: “The data push operation is not supported in the current release for cross pod data maps and data maps with member level mapping. The data push for the data map 'data map name' has been ignored.”
When creating a new data map, the default setting for the Smart List/Pivot Dimension data maps option has been changed to the Period dimension. In the new data map, if the Smart List to dimension mapping is required, the Smart List/Pivot Dimension option may need to be modified to the dimension using the Smart List.
Additionally, when you run a data map, the Job Console page shows the details of the pushed jobs. Cross application data maps create a job in both the source and target environments. The target environment also has the job details for clear and import options. The job details from the target environment are copied to the job details on the source environment.
The data map job status will be 'completed with warning' when any governor of the data map is getting close to error thresholds. This helps an administrator to identify any errors and take any corrective actions.
Business Benefit: The Cross Environment Application Data Map functionality enables data movement across multiple environments within the Cloud EPM, enabling customers to do more analysis on the planning data coming from different cubes.
Data Maps using member mappings enables the movement of data across applications where names do not match.
