OAuth2 Authentication Type for Oracle Cloud ERP Global Connections

Oracle Cloud ERP global connections provide an optional OAuth2 authentication type to securely connect to external cloud Enterprise Resource Planning environments instead of using Basic authentication.  These global connections can leverage the same OAuth2 configuration done in Identity Domain Cloud Service that is used by Financials Cloud General Ledger application connections in Enterprise Data Management.  Viewpoint extracts and extract packages can use the OAuth2 credentials when connecting and transferring data files for mapping sets, related value sets, and cross-validation combination sets in Oracle Cloud Financials.

Business Benefit: OAuth2 provides a more secure alternative to basic authentication when connecting to Oracle Cloud ERP environments to distribute customized enterprise data such as mapping sets, related value sets, and cross-validation combination sets.
