OAuth2 Authentication Type for Oracle Cloud Financials Application Connections

Connections for Financials Cloud General Ledger applications in Enterprise Data Management provide an optional OAuth2 authentication type to securely connect to external cloud general ledger environments using the OAuth 2.0 protocol. OAuth2 components are set up in Identity Domain Cloud Service and OAuth2 authentication credentials are configured for each Enterprise Data Management application connection. Integration operations such as dimension imports and exports can then use those OAuth2 credentials when transferring chart of accounts value sets and trees from and to Oracle Cloud Financials.

Business Benefit: OAuth2 provides a more secure alternative to basic authentication when connecting to Oracle Cloud Financials general ledger environments for synchronizing chart of accounts information.
