Granular Templates for Metadata Migration

A granular template export is available to migrate individually selected metadata artifacts from one Enterprise Data Management environment to another.  The granular export is offered separately from the application export used to migrate entire applications and/or dimensions.  When performing a granular export, you can select one or more artifacts of various types to include in the template JSON file.  The granular template file can then be imported into a different Enterprise Data Management environment to migrate only the selected artifacts.  Granular export is available for the following artifact types in this update:

  • Custom Validations
  • Extracts
  • Extract Packages
  • Global Connections
  • Lookup Sets
  • Policies
  • Properties
  • Subscriptions

Business Benefit: Metadata artifacts can be incrementally migrated across Enterprise Data Management environments in a granular fashion using a template.
