Oracle-Managed Migration of an Environment to a New Environment with a Different SKU or in a Different Region, Cloud Account or IAM Domain

You can now request Oracle to migrate an existing environment to a new environment that uses a different SKU, located in a different region, cloud Account, or identity domain, retaining the URL of the existing environment. Previously, this migration required cloning the environment. Additionally, there was no way to access the new environment using the URL of the existing environment.

Migration scenario required you to complete some steps before requesting Oracle to assist with the completion of the process. This procedure is now explained in the Operations Guide.

Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting   

Business Benefit: This migration helps you you upgrade to Enterprise SKU as well as consolidate or distribute regions, Cloud Accounts, and Identity domains of your choice, with minimal interruption to the service by retaining the same URLs of the environments as before.
