Redesigned Models, Rule Designer - Mass Edit, Calculation Analysis, and Calculation Control Screens
This release includes the following redesigned screens:
- Models
- Rule Designer - Mass Edit
- Calculation Analysis
- Calculation Control
In this release, the original version of these screens is still the default. You can preview and start using the new screens by entering a substitution variable for each screen.
- From the Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Home page, select Tools, and then Variables.
- On the Variables tab, click Substitution Variables, and then click the plus sign to define a new variable.
- Leave the Cube field set to All Cubes, and enter the substitution variables for the new screens as follows:

Note: These substitution variables are applicable to all users (they are not user-level preferences).
A New Version of the Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab became available in 25.11 and was announced in the 25.11 What's New. You can select which version of the Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab to use in the Profitability and Cost Management Application Settings. Designer 1.0 opens the older version of the Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab. Designer 2.0 opens the new Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab with enhanced features.
Timeline going forward:
Starting in release 26.05, the new screens will be the default when you open your application. If desired, you can temporarily revert to the original Models, Rule Designer - Mass Edit, Calculation Analysis, Calculation Control screens in 26.05 by setting the substitution variable value to 1.0, and you can temporarily revert to the original Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab by changing the Designer Version setting to Designer 1.0.
Starting in release 26.07, the original Models, Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup, Rule Designer - Mass Edit, Calculation Analysis, and Calculation Control screens will no longer be available. The Model Validation screen will also no longer be available in release 26.07, as model validation will be part of the Mass Edit screen.
