EPM Automate Windows Installation Changes
EPM Automate now installs by default to Program Files\Oracle\EPM Automate folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Oracle\EPM Automate)on Windows computers. Because Program Files is a protected folder, you must be a member of the Windows Administrators group to install it. Additionally, EPM Automate, by default, now stores log files, encrypted password files, downloaded files, user preferences, and other runtime data in ProgramData\Oracle\EPM Automate in the root folder. As a result, these changes may have the following impact on the EPM Automate scripts that you use:
- Any files referenced by scripts from the default location (for example, source files used with the
uploadFilecommand) are expected to reside in theProgramData\Oracle\EPM Automatefolder. - The password encryption file referenced without an absolute path in the script must be present in the
ProgramData\Oracle\EPM Automatefolder
NOTE: If you upgrade using the upgrade command, you can keep your existing installation location, but you’ll need to sign in again after the upgrade to re-establish the connection.
Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting
Business Benefit: This change ensures a more secure approach to EPM Automate installation and conforms to the standard Windows security principles.
