Support for Doclet Workflow Notes with @Mention References in Smart View

Doclet Workflow Notes, which were introduced in Narrative Reporting in April 2026 (26.04) update, are now supported in Smart View.

In Smart View, you can view notes, add new notes, reply to existing notes, edit or delete your notes, and change note status. You can also mention other users in your notes by typing @ and selecting them from the displayed list. To view the notes for a doclet, click the new View Notes menu in the Narrative Reporting ribbon or double-click the notes indicator next to the doclet in the Report Center.

Business Benefit: Authors and approvers now get the same ability to use Doclet Workflow Notes in Smart View, as they do in Narrative Reporting.

Steps to enable and configure

This feature requires the 26.08 Narrative Reporting extension. To install the extension, see Updated Narrative Reporting Extension for Smart View.
