Redesigned Models, Rule Designer, Calculation Analysis, and Calculation Control Screens

The following redesigned screens are now the default when you open your Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management application.

  • Models
  • Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup
  • Rule Designer - Mass Edit
  • Calculation Analysis
  • Calculation Control

If desired, you can temporarily revert to the original Models, Rule Designer - Mass Edit, Calculation Analysis, Calculation Control screens by setting the substitution variable value for the screen to 1.0.

  1. From the Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Home page, select Tools, and then Variables.
  2. On the Variables tab, click Substitution Variables, and then click the plus sign to define a new variable.
  3. Leave the Cube field set to All Cubes, and enter the substitution variables for the new screens as follows:

EPCM_MASSEDIT_UI 1.0
EPCM_CALCANALYSIS_UI 1.0
EPCM_CALCCONTROL_UI 1.0

Note: These substitution variables are applicable to all users (they are not user-level preferences).

In addition, you can temporarily revert to the original Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup tab by changing the Designer Version setting to Designer 1.0.

  1. From the Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Home page, select Application, and then Settings.
  2. In Application Settings, set the Designer Version to Designer 1.0.

Timeline going forward:

Starting with the July (26.07) update, the original Models, Rule Designer - Waterfall Setup, Rule Designer - Mass Edit, Calculation Analysis, and Calculation Control screens will no longer be available. The Model Validation screen will also no longer be available in release 26.07, as model validation is now part of the re-designed Mass Edit screen.
