Return to Accrual (RTA) Automation AI Assistant

Configuring Return to Accrual (RTA) Automation for Tax Reporting is now easier and more intuitive with the new AI-driven RTA Assistant. Leveraging Generative AI, the RTA Automation Assistant enables users to configure automation across multiple entities and jurisdictions by simply providing instructions in plain English. The assistant guides the user through the process—capturing key details such as Scenario, RTA Source Year, Posting Period, Posting Year, Entity, and Jurisdiction, and post confirmation generates the RTA configuration to maintain the same language across.
Note: Chat history of RTA Automation Assistant is not retained.

Business Benefit: This AI-driven solution significantly reduces the manual effort and time required to set up automation across multiple entities and jurisdictions without any errors.

Steps to enable and configure

Generative AI services are not enabled by default. To use the RTA Automation Assistant, you must first enable Generative AI for your environment. Without enabling it, RTA Automation functions as it did in prior releases.
To enable AI Assistant:
1.    From the Home page, click on Application.
2.    Under Settings: Enable AI, select the checkbox to enable the Generative AI
3.    Once the Generative AI is enabled, the RTA Assistant is available in the RTA Automation Form (Navigate to Application: Configuration: RTA Automation)

Configuring AI Assistant
If the assistant is not configured, before using the assistant for the first time after application creation, or snapshot import, or after a monthly upgrade, run a configuration task by navigating to Application: Configuration: Configure AI Assistant.

Tips and considerations

  • For the initial release, AI assistant supports only the English language.
  • The Enable AI option is available only for EPM Enterprise subscriptions and when Hybrid mode is enabled.
  • The assistant uses generative AI (GenAI). Output from GenAI may not always be factual, accurate, or appropriate for creating configuration. You are responsible for reviewing and using GenAI output at your discretion.
  • The GenAI feature is available only for OCI environments, and it is not yet available in all OCI regions. To view the regions where it is available, refer to Availability of Generative AI in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud Operations Guide.
