Consolidation Settings for Concurrent Consolidations and Translations and Queued Jobs
New Consolidation Settings are available that enable Service Administrators to define the Maximum Number of Concurrent Consolidations and Translations and the Maximum Number of Queued Jobs that may be executed concurrently. You can limit the total number of concurrent consolidations for an application and also define limits for individual users or user groups.
- Maximum Number of Concurrent Consolidations and Translations
Specifies the total number of concurrent consolidations and translations that can be executed before queueing is initiated. The default value is -1 which indicates no limit.
- Maximum Number of Queued Jobs
Specifies the maximum number of jobs that can be queued. Any additional job beyond this value will fail. The default value is -1 which indicates no limit.
- Maximum Concurrent Consolidation and Translation Jobs Per User
Specifies the maximum number of consolidation and translation jobs that a single user can run concurrently within the overall queueing limit. The default value is -1 which indicates no limit.
When the specified Consolidation/Translation limit or queue limit is reached for an application, an error message indicates that the maximum number of jobs has been reached, and the request has been queued.
Business Benefit: Restricting the number of concurrent jobs can increase application performance by eliminating the length of time multiple jobs are queued and executed.
Steps to enable and configure
By default, the Consolidation Setting default values are -1, which indicates no limit. To enable these features, from Consolidation Settings, specify a positive number for the maximum value.
