Time-Bound Sensitive Access Request

The updated Advanced Access Request page introduces a new question: "Is this access request temporary?" If answered "Yes," users can specify the duration for which the access is needed. To ensure a prompt decision, notifications are sent to the requester, the user for whom the role requested (if different), and the approver as soon as the request is submitted. Given the urgency of the request, SoD analysis is not required before the approver takes action. The approver also has the option to adjust the requested duration before granting approval. Temporary access is automatically revoked once the approved duration has expired.

Temporary access to elevated roles will facilitate time-sensitive tasks, such as IT troubleshooting or period-end transactions, while ensuring a documented process for request, approval, and the automatic removal of temporary access once it’s no longer needed.
