Financial Reporting by Joint Venture Stakeholder
Generate financial reports by stakeholder using the reporting tools available in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials. Post joint venture distributions for each stakeholder to a stakeholder reporting ledger in the General Ledger. The stakeholder reporting ledger includes a stakeholder dimension in the chart of accounts to enable financial reporting by stakeholder.
Business Benefit:
This eliminates the need for joint venture accountants to manually prepare financial reports for each stakeholder to comply with the joint operating agreement.
Here's the demo of these capabilities:
Steps to Enable
- Create a secondary ledger for the primary ledger to use as the stakeholder reporting ledger. In the chart of accounts structure, include a segment for the stakeholder. Make sure to apply the following settings in the secondary ledger setup:
- Designate the ledger as a Valuation Method ledger.
- Select only Joint Ventures in the Subledger Accounting Enabled option.
- Enable the Stakeholder Reporting feature in the General Information section of the Joint Venture System Options.
- Set up the Stakeholder Reporting books in the Joint Venture Definition.
Tips And Considerations
Run the process “ESS job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS” to recreate index definition and perform ingest to Oracle Search Extension Framework database. Run the process twice, once for each index:
- fa-fin-jv-transactions
- fa-fin-jv-distributions
