Application Data Services (ADS) – Change Management

Metadata Versioning is displayed in Glossary, Glossary Mapping, and Application Connectors pages. Versioning of Connectors is also displayed in ADS Subscriber page of the application, Data Foundation is exchanging data with. The most recent versions are available for UI-based browsing whereas users can download previous Application Connector versions. For example, while working with extensions or overrides, user has ability to browse the ‘Validated’ (draft) version of connectors while there is a link to download all ‘published’ versions of the connectors.

Please note, versioning of user-defined connectors (created as override for out-of-the-box connectors) is displayed as integers starting with 1, while out-of-the-box connectors are versioned in YY.MM.X format with X representing the number of revisions (for example, 25.06.1, 25.06.2).

With this release, user has ability to ‘discard’ a ‘validated’ draft if the changes introduced are no longer applicable and need not be ‘published’.

Other UX enhancements include displaying out-of-the-box value-code mapping between source and target business terms in ‘Direct Mapping’ tab of Application Connectors.
