Reusable views and widgets
Views and page widgets make the Case Flow workspace adaptable without the need to create a separate page for every use case. Reusable views can be configured for case or actor context and use supported data sources, selected data points, display labels, table sorting, pagination, and context rules. Page widgets provide separate, purpose-built functions such as comments, observations, case overview, and Nexus skill runs.
Views and widgets provide the reusable building blocks behind the step-specific workspace. They allow an implementation team present the right information in the right context without duplicating the same configuration across many pages. When governed carefully, they give users a consistent understanding of case and actor information while still accommodating various user tasks and workflow stages.
- Create views for case and actor contexts.
- Configure each view with supported data sources, data points, and table controls.
- Configure display labels, sorting, pagination, and any actions supported by the selected data source.
- Use view-context display rules to present the right view for the current case or actor.
Steps to enable and configure
- Define the intended case or actor context.
- Create the view, add widgets, and configure data sources, data points, and display behavior.
- Set context display rules and any table controls.
- Add the view to the relevant page.
Tips and considerations
- Use governed data definitions and labels so the same field means the same thing across pages.
- Limit each view to the information needed for the user’s decision; dense views make case review slower.
