Additional Special Character Support
Application handles the following special characters in the backend additionally.
- & is replaced with AND
- - is replaced with empty space
- •[.()~'':''",%£?+] Special characters are replaced with an empty string.
When customers use the CS application for sanctions screening many names and business identifiers routinely contain punctuation/symbols. The presence of special characters in names will affect the match score. Enhancing the screening process by handling special characters helps in the effectiveness and completeness of screening.
