Person Name Format Edit

Here are some points to note about the new Person Name Formats page:

  • For each row, you need to select at least 1 name attribute. And you can select a maximum of only 1 name attribute for each row. The only exception is when you select a name attribute for the Replace Condition, in which case you can select 2 name attributes.
  • The Replace Condition column is used when you want conditional name formatting. Let's say you want to display the Known As field. And when it's value is null, then the First Name must be displayed. Then you would place Known As in one of the Component columns and the First Name field in the Replace Condition column.
  • The name attribute for each row can be entered in any of the Component columns, preceded or followed by punctuation options such as a space or open or closed brackets.
  • You can also reorder the rows. Select the row that you want to move. Click and hold the selected row, and then drag it and drop it at the position where you want to place it.

The new page offers fewer clicks and better performance. By using this new page, you can take advantage of the cohesiveness through the application.
