Consolidated Notification for Check-in Updates

You can now reduce the number of notifications and make use of a single consolidated notification when a Performance or Touchpoints check-in is updated.

The notification is sent for discussion topics and notes that are added, updated, or removed instead of sending individual notifications for each action.

The notification combines these updates:

  • If HR updates a check-in (adds a discussion topic, updates the name of a general discussion topic, deletes a discussion topic, or adds or updates a note) both managers and workers receive a notification.
  • If the worker updates a check-in (adds a discussion topic, updates the name of a general discussion topic, deletes a discussion topic, or adds or updates a note) managers receive a notification.
  • If the manager updates a check-in (adds a discussion topic, updates the name of a general discussion topic, deletes a discussion topic, or adds or updates a note) workers receive a notification.

This feature consolidates all the updates in a single notification thereby reducing the number of notifications sent for each update.

You need to enable the profile options as indicated in the table.

Tips and considerations

  • As Performance Document, Check-in, and Goals Center are closely connected, in Redwood you can enable or disable these pages using the common ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. These features can't be enabled individually.
