Review and Configure Data Set Post Processes

Using the Data Set Post Processes tab on the Configure HCM Data Loader task, you can review and configure (for supporting post processes) which data set level post processes are automatically submitted.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, select Configure HCM Data Loader task in the HCM Data Loader functional area.
  2. On the Configure HCM Data Loader page, select the Data Set Post Processes tab.
  3. Review the post processes that runs automatically after a data set has completed.
  4. For supporting post processes, override the automatic submission by selecting Yes or No.

When post processes such as Update Oracle Search Indexes with HCM Data Loader Changes and Oracle Search Bulk Ingestion take a while to process, it delays the execution of other processes in queue. In such cases, you can run the current processes later instead of running it at the end of every data set.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

These can be overridden in the Configure HCM Data Loader page and using SET instructions. The SET instruction takes precedence over the values defined in the Configure HCM Data Loader task.

  • SET ORA_ENABLE_OS_BULK_INGEST Y|N
  • SET ORACLE_SEARCH_UPDATE_MODE ORA_BULK|N
