Inbound Interface Encryption

Use the enhanced inbound interface encryption feature to create the HCM Extracts delivery options - Data Loader Interface and Inbound Interface, to support the file encryption of all files held on the Oracle WebCenter Content server (UCM) for processing by HCM Data Loader (HDL) and  HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL).

When executing the extract, if the file encryption is Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) PGP – Unsigned, then the file is encrypted with the public fusion-key and is posted to the UCM. If file encryption is NONE, then the file is delivered to the UCM unencrypted.

Before you create the extract definition, you need to generate the PGP key pair on the Security Console. You can download the public key to encrypt files that are inbound into HCM Cloud (for example, input data files for HCM Data Loader). To sign these inbound files, you can use your private key (customer-key_priv), which is verified using your public key (customer-key_pub) in Oracle HCM Cloud. You must have imported the customer public key.

Perform the following steps to create an Extract Definition:

  • Create an extract definition on Data Exchange > Extract Definitions page.
  • Set up the parameters on Define and Design tabs.
  • On the Deliver tab:
    • Click Add.
    • Provide a Delivery Option Name and choose Data Loader Interface as the delivery option.
    • Click OK.
    • Set up the following Advanced parameters section on the created delivery option page:
      • Encryption Mode
      • Integration Name
      • File Type: Data Loader or Spreadsheet Loader - to determine the submission of HDL or HSDL
      • Compressed Delivery Group
      • Compress

  • Click OK.

The Data Loader Interface delivery option is now enabled for the created extract. Similarly, you can set up the Inbound Interface delivery option and create multiple delivery options for the extract definition.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
