Improved Hierarchy Navigation for Team Activity Center

You can now use the enhanced navigation between the manager and position hierarchies on the Team Activity Center page. The page introduces the Organization Hierarchy and Position Hierarchy pages that display the structure of your organization and positions in your organization in a quickly scannable way. You can also access several other pages through the quick actions on these pages. You need to enable the Team Activity Center page to use this new navigation.

As a manager, here's how you can access your Team Activity Center page: On the My Team tab, Quick Actions pane, click Team Activity Center. You can also use the Team Activity Center app.

On the Team Activity Center page, the Org Hierarchy button is available on the Workers view and the Position Hierarchy is available on the Positions view. Use the View filter to switch between the views.

Organization Hierarchy

On the Workers view, click the Org Hierarchy button to open your organization hierarchy. The page groups workers in your org based on their manager, location, and department and displays it in a hierarchical structure. Here's an image of navigation to the Org Hierarchy page.

The Organization Hierarchy page has 4 tabs. The number on the tab shows the number of results in the tab. For example, in the above image, Meg Fitzimmons's org has people in 49 locations. Here are the details of the tabs:

  • Directs: This tab shows your direct reports, their assignment number, and the number of direct and total reports if they have people reporting to them. You can click any card to view the org hierarchy page of that worker.
  • Total Reports: This tab shows total reports in your organization. The individual cards show the worker's assignment number. On this tab too, you can click any card to view the org hierarchy page of that worker.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can personalize Redwood pages using Visual Builder Studio (VBS).
  • From this release, if you enable the Team Activity Center page, that is, if you enable the ORA_PER_MY_TEAM_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option, your My Team app is replaced with the Team Activity Center app.
  • The Quick Actions displayed are of Redwood enabled pages only.
  • You need to set up the HCM position hierarchy to view info in the Positions view.
  • On the Team Activity Center page, the filter chip result aggregate counts are for the employee whose Team Activity Center page you're on. For example, the aggregate counts on your Team Activity Center page pertain to you and if you navigate to the Team Activity Center page of any of your directs, the aggregate counts displayed pertain to your direct report.
