Enhanced Refresh Manager Hierarchy Process

The Refresh Manager Hierarchy scheduled process is enhanced with performance improvements. Inactive assignments are excluded from a full refresh by default and the incremental refresh will only include updates since the previous run.

In the Process Details, these enhancements have been made:

  • In the Normal - Full Run mode, the default value for the Ignore Inactive Assignments During Full Refresh is enhanced to be 'Y'. If you run the process with no value in the Updated Within the Last N Days field, inactive assignments aren't processed anymore. You need to select 'N' in the Ignore Inactive Assignments field to process inactive assignments.
  • In the Normal – Incremental Run mode, a +ve parameter value in the Updated Within the Last N Days field will process the data updated since the last N days value or since the last run, whichever is the latest. For example, you schedule the process to run once every 6 hours and the Updated Within the Last N Days parameter is 1. If the process has run six hours ago, then the assignment supervisor data updated in the last six hours is processed instead of the all the data updated in the past day.
  • When Elastic Search is enabled, the data processed for Bulk import of Refresh Manager Hierarchy denormalized table is optimized for performance improvement.

These enhancements make sure that the performance of the process is optimal.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

  • Denormalized data for inactive assignments is still present in tables, except that it isn't processed. That is, data isn't deleted and populated again.
