Direct Apply Integration Partner Category

Take advantage of the new Direct Apply third party integration category. This new partner category is available in Oracle Marketplace in 24C.

The goal of this new category is to allow candidates who navigate the career site of an approved partner to apply for a job and provide required information such as answers to prescreening questions, legislative information, profile information while staying in the partner’s site. The information is received in Oracle Recruiting and a candidate and job application are created. The candidate doesn’t have to navigate back to the career site of the customer to submit their application. The partner can query on the status of the candidate as they go through the job application process.

Below are the touchpoints of the integration initiated by the partner. Oracle Recruiting will not push data or call any partner API:

  1. Partner retrieves the list of posted jobs
  2. Partner retrieves requisition details
  3. Partner retrieves application flow details
  4. Partner verifies if the candidate exists
  5. Partner creates candidate if needed
  6. Partner creates job application
  7. Partner retrieves job application statuses

This new feature improves the candidate experience because candidates don’t have to navigate away from the partner’s site to apply for a job.

Steps to Enable

The Direct Apply third party integration category is used by external partners like the other existing categories (assessment, background check, tax credit, profile import, job distribution).

The steps to enable the Direct Apply category are similar to the ones of other partner categories. You obtain the .zip file from the partner, you upload the .zip file in the partner enablement page to obtain the partner key, you configure the user, and you enter the secret code. Note that some partners might have their own activation mechanism.

The administrator then configures the integration.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
    • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
    • Functional Area: Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management
    • Task: Recruiting Category Provisioning and Configuration
  2. On the Category Provisioning and Configuration page, locate Direct Apply and click the Edit icon.
  3. On the Edit Direct Apply Partner page, click Activate.

Tips And Considerations

If you already use a primary partner site where most of your candidates are sourced from, the new Direct Apply category might be a good solution for you. You can use it with as many approved partners as you want.

When a single category must be used for a specific case, like resume parsing for a single language, you could use multiple partners with Direct Apply to create job applications for a single job requisition, there's no limit.

Note these special use cases for specific partners.

  • Indeed is a partner under Profile Import. Future Direct Apply activation will be done independently. The Direct Apply partner will provide a .zip file when they declare general availability of their Apply Sync solution.
  • LinkedIn is a partner under Profile Import. However, the configuration will be done in the Profile Import area when LinkedIn will declare general availability. While the Direct Apply category is available, partners using this category will declare their availability when they're ready, this might be in a subsequent release.
