Direct Reports Step Available in Redwood Add Assignment Processes

You can now add direct reports to a worker assignment in the Redwood Add Assignment process. This step is available out-of-the-box.

You can copy the direct reports from the source assignment only if the Copy Data from Source Assignment While Adding a New Assignment Enabled (ORA_PER_EMPL_ADD_ASG_COPY_FRM_SRC_ENABLED) profile option is set to Yes.

Reports where the manager relationship isn't of line manager type aren't copied even if this profile option is set to Yes.

This feature gives line managers and HR specialists the ability to add direct reports when adding a worker assignment.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• Retaining of valid employment changes based on ORA_PER_EMP_RETAIN_CHANGES profile option isn't supported.

• If you have configured approval rules in the Transaction Console for the responsive Add Assignment process, the same will be applicable for the Redwood process as well.

• During inflight transactions, the transaction committed first is considered.
