Allow Candidate Communications Through Verified Channels

In the Redwood experience for the Messages tab on candidate detail pages, recruiters and hiring managers can send emails or text messages and reply to emails, even if the candidate's communication preferences aren't verified. Now, using a new setting available in Setup and Maintenance, an administrator can enable the Compose and Reply buttons only when the candidate's communication preferences are verified.

To use this setting:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
  • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
  • Functional Area: Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management
  • Task: Recruiting Messaging Configuration
  1. Scroll down to the Additional Communication Settings section and select the check box, Allow the hiring team to send or reply to messages only if the candidate's phone number or email is verified.

This feature allows emails and text messages to be sent only through verified communication channels. It also enables administrators to enable or disable the Compose and Reply buttons using a configuration setting in Setup and Maintenance.
