Improved Redwood Experience for Preview HCM Data Security

You can now search and preview a user's data access by quick actions. Instead of researching the technical data security policy or data privilege name, you now have a more functional option of providing the functional quick action when a user is experiencing data access problems.

New Quick Action Preview Method has Been Added

It's more intuitive to search by quick action navigation then needing to know the privilege information.

Steps to Enable

The quick action option is available on the Redwood version of Preview HCM Data Security only, so it must be enabled first. Enable the following profile options:

  1. ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED (Enable VBCS Progressive Web Application User Interface) 

  2. ORA_PER_PREVIEW_HCM_DATA_SECURITY_REDWOOD_ENABLED (Redwood Preview HCM Data Security Enabled)

To enable the profile options, navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area:

  1. Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  2. Search for and select the profile option.
  3. Select the Level as Site.
  4. Enter Yes in the Profile Value field.
  5. Click Save and Close.
