AI Agent Task Type for Guided Journeys

We have enhanced the task types for guided journeys by adding a new Artificial Intelligence-based (AI-based) Agent task type. You can use this task type to allow employees to directly interact with the AI platform. For example, managers can type a question to find the promotion policies in their organization when promoting employees of a certain grade.

Users can leverage AI capabilities to interact with the application and find relevant answers within the transaction.

Steps to Enable

You need to enable the ORA_PER_AGENT_TASK_TYPE_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_ENABLED profile option to enable the Redwood journeys setup pages. By default, this profile option is set to N.

To change the default profile option value and enable the feature, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area.

  2. Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

  3. Search for the ORA_PER_AGENT_TASK_TYPE_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_ENABLED profile option code and select the profile option in the search results.

  4. In the ORA_PER_AGENT_TASK_TYPE_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_ENABLED: Profile Values area, enter Y in the Profile Value field.

  5. Click Save and Close.

  6. Click Done.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can use this task type only in a guided journey.

  • This feature is only available when using guided journeys on Redwood pages.

  • The interaction with the agent is only displayed on the UI and not stored anywhere.

  • This task type can't be created in the task library or in a task group.

Access Intelligent Agent Chat, HRC_ACCESS_AI_AGENT_CHAT_PRIV privilege secures this feature. You must add this function privilege to your custom roles to use this feature.
