Redwood Experience for Flexible Benefits Plan

You can now administer the flexible benefits plan for your organization using Cloud India Payroll. By default, this feature is available in the Redwood VB Studio format.

The payroll administrator can set up the flexible benefits plan with various pay components, define the pay elements and set the eligibility profiles and rules for the plan. Employees can reallocate their salary components according to their needs to get maximum tax benefits through self-service.

From the home page, navigate to Setup and Maintenance > Legal Entity Calculation Card > Flexible Benefits Plan to view the Flexible Benefits Plan in administrator view.

The payroll administrator can set up the following:

  • Set up different flexible benefit plans with pay components, which cater to different departments and employee categories.
  • Define the payroll elements
  • Set up the eligibility profiles and rules for the plan.
  • Set up the timelines during which employees are allowed to modify their flexible benefit plan.

To view the flexible benefits plan in employee self-service, from the home page, navigate to Me > Flexible Benefits Plan.

The employees can set up their flexible benefits plan during the time period allowed, by modifying the flexible salary components according to their needs.

Employers can now administer Flexible Benefit plan using Cloud India Payroll.

Access Requirements

Here are the steps to enable the Flexible Benefits Plan self-service page:

  1. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance area and search for the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  2. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for ORA_PAY_MY_IN_CALCARD_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option.
  3. Enter Yes in the Profile Value field.
  4. Click Save and Close.

To enable any of the Redwood pages, the central profile option ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED needs to be set to Yes. For more information, see HCM Redwood Pages with Profile Options (Doc ID 2922407.1)
