Descriptive Flexfields for Gigs
As an admin, you can now add descriptive flexfields (DFFs) to gigs, and use them as search filters and facets. There's a new section on the Gig Details page that displays DFFs.

You can also configure descriptive flexfields as filters and facets so users can use them to browse gigs in Opportunity Marketplace.

This feature provides additional ways for gig creators to capture data and for gig applicants to search for gigs.
Steps to Enable
To use this feature you need to enable the flexfields you want for Opportunity Marketplace.
- Create the flexfields you want to use.
- Navigate to Manage Search Indexes page and select the flexfields for ingestion.
- Run the ingestion job called “ESS Job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS”. This ensures that all jobs and gigs that already exist in the application are fully indexed for search. Specify “fa-hcm-requisition” in the Index Name to Reingest field.
- After the ingestion job ran successfully, navigate to My Client Groups > Quick Actions > View More > Search Views.
- Select Opportunity Marketplace Gigs View.
- Click the Filters tab.
- Scroll down if needed to see the flexfields.
- Select the fields you want to use.
- Indicate whether you want to display them as filters or facets (or both).

Tips And Considerations
The following validation types are supported for the gig descriptive flexfields:
- Gig Create/Edit and Details page: Format only, Independent and Table
- Gig Filters and Facets: Independent and Table
- Gig VBStudio Customization: Format Only, Independent, Table

Access Requirements
- To access the Search Views page, you must have the following privilege: HRC_MANAGE_SEARCH_VIEWS_PRIV.
- To use advanced search filters on the Opportunity Marketplace Jobs page, you must have the following privilege HRC_ACCESS_HCM_COMMON_COMPONENTS_PRIV.
