Gig Segmentation
As an admin, you can now use gig segmentation configurations to control which employees can see specific gigs in Opportunity Marketplace. With this feature you can:
- Create an eligibility profile to categorize the group of internal employees for whom the visibility of the gigs need to be restricted.
- Create gig segmentation configurations to filter the gigs for which you need to control the visibility.
- Assign the eligibility profiles to the created gig configurations.
- Activate and deactivate the configurations as needed.
- Enable or disable the gig segmentation configurations overall for your corporation as needed.
When a user logs in, the first active configuration that matches their eligibility profile is applied to them. Only the matching requisitions from that gig configuration are displayed in the Opportunity Marketplace dashboard.
This feature lets admins determine which employees can see specific gigs in Opportunity Marketplace.
Steps to Enable
To enable and use this feature you need to:
- Enable a new profile option.
- Create eligibility profiles (if you haven't already done so).
- Create gig configurations by linking to eligibility profiles.
1 Enable the New Profile Option
A new profile option ORA_HCM_OPP_MKT_GIG_CONFIG_ENABLED has been added to enable this feature. By default, the profile option is set to N, meaning the feature is delivered disabled by default.
To enable the profile option:
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, click the Tasks icon.
- Click Search.
- On the Search page, search for the task Manage Administrator Profile Values.
- Click the task name.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for the profile option code ORA_HCM_OPP_MKT_GIG_CONFIG_ENABLED.
- In the Profile Values section, set the profile value to Y.
- Click Save and Close.
2 Create Eligibility Profiles
Create eligibility profiles.
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
- Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
- Functional Area: Candidate Experience Management
- Task: Select All Tasks from the Show drop-down list, or search for "gig" from the Search Tasks field.
- Select the Opportunity Marketplace Eligibility Profiles task.
- Click Create.
Create a Participant Eligibility Profile
- Enter the appropriate information to create the Eligibility Profile Definition and Eligibility Criteria.
- Select Opportunity Marketplace from the Profile Usage drop-down list if it is not already selected.
- Click Save and Close.
3 Create Gig Configurations by Linking to Eligibility Profiles
You can create new gig configurations and link them to eligibility profiles. You can select the filters for the gig requisitions that fall under that gig configuration.
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
- Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
- Functional Area: Candidate Experience Management
- Task: Select All Tasks from the Show drop-down list, or search for "gig" from the Search Tasks field.

Click Opportunity Marketplace Gigs Configurations.
Gig Configurations
- Click Create.
Create a Gig Configuration
- Enter a configuration code.
- Type a configuration name.
- Select an eligibility profile.
NOTE: Only one Opportunity Marketplace eligibility profile can be mapped against a gig configuration.
- Add the appropriate requisition filters.
- Click Save and Close.
Tips And Considerations
If you have already set up active gig configurations then, upon enabling the profile option for gig configurations, the gigs will be restricted to users based on their eligibility profiles that match the available gig configurations.

Access Requirements
For creating job segmentation configurations you must have the following privileges:
- BEN_MANAGE_BENEFIT_ELIGIBLITY_PROFILE_PRIV – This privilege allows users to create new eligibility profiles for opportunity marketplace usage.
- BEN_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_BENEFITS_LOVS_PRIV – This privilege allows users to select the Opportunity Marketplace eligibility profiles while creating job configurations.
