Rank candidate job applications to more easily shortlist, advance, and share the top candidates on a job requisition. The rank can be used to sort and filter the list of job applications.

You can rank a job application by using the Rank Application action in the job application details page. The rank and the name of the person who provided the rank are displayed on the side card.

Providing a Rank From the Job Application List

The rank action is flexible and can support a variety of use cases. You could use it to rate candidates and have multiple candidates have the same rank value. For example, if you use a 1-5 rating scale there could be many candidates that share the same rating value. You could use it to capture a score based on various attributes you measure. Alternatively, you could stack rank the candidates from 1 - n based on your shortlisting process to help prioritize the candidates to be reviewed by hiring managers and others.

Assigning ranks to candidates helps recruiters and hiring managers focus on the top job applications.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

  • Rank can be any positive number between 1 and 10,000.
  • Multiple job applications can have the same rank.
  • A single rank value is stored. If you change the rank, only the most recent rank value is displayed.
  • The name of the user who provided the rank is displayed on the side card, in the job application details page.
  • The rank column can't be hidden or removed from the job application grid views. An enhancement is planned for a future release.

Access Requirements

You need the Update Candidate Application Ranking (IRC_UPDATE_CANDIDATE_APPLICATION_RANKING_PRIV) privilege to add or edit ranks. This privilege is by default assigned to the Recruiter role.
