Workload Requirements Enhancements
The Workload Requirements table now lets you track the source of consolidated workload requirements. You can see whether the requirement originated from the workload or staffing plan, giving you better visibility into upstream processes. The Origin attribute identifies which of the workload requirement processes produced the consolidated workload requirement. The origin can be any one of these values:
Origin | Description |
---|---|
Budget | The requirement originated from the average daily volume for the staffing plan. |
Volumes | The requirement originated from the staffing volumes used to look up the requirement on the staffing plan. |
Workload Plan Shift | The requirement originated from the workload plan with a shift-based workload plan. |
Workload Plan | The requirement originated from the workload plan with a time-based workload plan. |
The Origin Workload Type indicates whether the workload requirement was generated from a Baseline, Adjusted, or Actual workload type. The origin workload type can be any one of these values:
Origin Workload Type | Description |
Adjusted | A medium-term volume or workload for a user-defined duration, such as a forecast or a plan update, to use in place of the budgeted volume value. |
Actual | A shorter-term volume or workload used from a-real time information collection solution, such as an electronic medical records or point-of-sale solution, to provide actual volume information. You use this attribute in place of the adjusted value. |
Baseline |
The longer-term volume or workload averaged over for several months, quarters, or year. Baselines are typically sourced from a budget. |

These enhancements make it easier for you to see how the final workload is determined.
