Person Name Attributes Included in Business Rules for Redwood Pages

Person name attributes have been added to VB Studio Business Rules for several Redwood pages. You can now create business rules with conditions for these attributes.

For detailed information about this feature, see the Steps to Enable section of this What's New.

You now have more control over the display and editing of the person name and address attributes.

Steps to Enable

For more information about the person name attributes included in business rules for Redwood pages, see What are the business rules that apply to person name attributes included in Redwood pages?

To control the display of person name attributes, use VB Studio Business Rules. For details, see the Working with Configure Fields and Regions chapter of the Extending Redwood Applications for HCM and SCM Using Visual Builder Studio guide.

Tips And Considerations

  • Defaulting isn’t supported for the person name attributes in business rules. This is applicable only to the edit flows. For the hire flows and create new contact flow, defaulting and validation are supported.
  • The name fields must be used only for business rules that apply to the names attributes and not to other regions on the page.
  • If a business rule is based on a specific value of person name attribute, and that attribute is changed, the hidden and read-only properties won’t be reevaluated. These properties are evaluated only once, on the initial display of the page. This is applicable only to the edit flows. For the hire flows and create new contact flow, properties will be reevaluated based on the latest user input.
