New Privilege Use REST Service - HCM Countries List of Values Granted to the Human Resource Analyst Role

We've made the following updates related to the Human Resource Analyst role:

  • A new privilege, Use REST Service - HCM Countries List of Values (ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_HCM_COUNTRIES_LOV), has been added to the predefined Human Resource Analyst role. This helps prevent errors that occurred when users with only this role accessed Redwood pages where the country list of values is used.

  • Other roles such as Human Resource Specialist, Employee, Benefits Administrator, and Compensation Manager already have this privilege.

  • In the HCM Data Roles UI, if you create or search for a data role based on the predefined Human Resource Analyst role, you’ll now be prompted to select a country security profile. Make sure to choose the "View All Countries" option.

  • If you're using the predefined Human Resource Analyst role and don’t search for or update the role, you’ll still be able to view all countries due to a new global grant that has been added to the role.

If you're using a custom Human Resource Analyst role, you’ll need to:

a) Add the Use REST Service - HCM Countries List of Values (ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_HCM_COUNTRIES_LOV) aggregate privilege to your custom role.

b) Assign a country security profile to any data roles based on the custom Human Resource Analyst role.

Prevents errors for users who have only the Human Resource Analyst role when they access Redwood pages that use the Country list of values.

Steps to Enable
