Absence Final and Discretionary Disbursement Updates in Payroll
Load only the updated absence disbursement information into the Payroll application, when you update an absence final disbursement (payout) or discretionary disbursement (cashout) record.
For example: An absence final disbursement record for 05/03, with 15 hours is loaded into the Payroll application for an employee. Subsequently, the final disbursement is updated by another 6 hours to 22 hours. When the absence disbursement is next loaded to Payroll, only the 6 hours update will be included for the disbursement. If the absence has already been paid, the additional 6 hours will be identified by the Retropay process and paid in the next payroll period.
When a final or discretionary disbursement is updated, the absence is updated in the Payroll Absence interface or Payroll Absences HCM Data Loader (HDL).
When you change the absence start date, it's considered as a new absence. The original absence records are deleted, and a new absence is created.
This enhancement reduces the number of absence and element entries created when an absence is updated. As a result, it also reduces the volume and complexity of retropay processing for absence changes.
