Obsolete Transmitter Fields Removed from UI

For the 2024 tax year, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) introduced changes to the T619 electronic transmittal record. This record is part of the interface file submission for the T4 and T4A.

Update 24D December Statutory Maintenance Pack supported the XML changes for the T619 changes, but the fields remained in the UI. For more information, please refer to the HCM Resource Center (End-of-Year T619 Transmitter Changes for Canada Localization topic).

In this release, we are removing the fields from the UI, as the data they are meant to capture is no longer required.

The following fields were removed from the Legal Reporting Unit UI, under the Federal Tax Reporting Unit Information section.

T4/T4A Interface Rules.

  • Transmitter Type
  • Transmitter Province
  • Transmitter City
  • Transmitter Address Line 1
  • Transmitter Address Line 2
  • Transmitter Postal Code

This simplifies the UI by removing fields that are no longer required to report.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

After Update 25C, any remaining data held in these fields will not be accessible.
