One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Vacation Liability Negative Payout

Vacation liability is the minimum amount of vacation pay an employee is legislated to receive in a given year according to the provincial statutory requirements. This feature supports the ability to reclaim vacation liability from a terminated employee if the vacation liability balance is negative. This may occur when employers allow vacation payout payments prior to the employee accruing the vacation liability, otherwise known as advance payments.

A new input value called Allow Negative Payout on the vacation payout element was created to enable the option. The values for the new option are:

  • Yes
  • No (default)

The illustration below shows the Allow Negative Payout input value available in element entries. To process negative vacation liability, set this value to Yes in the payout element entry.
