Support to Manually Create ROE Events

Currently, a Record of Employee (ROE) notification event is created automatically when an employee goes on a leave of absence or is terminated.

Manual creation of ROE notification events may be required in some circumstances, which may not be the result of a documented leave of absence or termination.  In these situations, manual event creation may be necessary:

  • Employees request ROEs to update their records with Service Canada, even when there is no formal leave of absence or termination recorded in the system.
  • Casual employees who are paid based on timecard, may not have the ability to report leave of absences, resulting in the need to generate ROEs for any breaks employment.

You can now manually create the event as requests are received. Also, the ROE archive can now process manually created events.

For manually created events, you must create Reporting Information calculation cards to specify the reason for issuing the ROE. For more information, please refer to the Administering Payroll for Canada guide on the Oracle Help Center (Create the Reporting Information Calculation Card topic).
