Role-based Approval Enhancement for Goal Assignment

If your administrator has enabled approvals for manager assigned goals, then the performance goal managers try to assign to their team members from their Team Goals Center will be assigned only after the manager’s manager approves the goal assignment.

The goal plan the manager selected on their Team Goals Center is the goal plan associated with the goal approval.

This goal plan is locked on the manager’s Goals Center page until their manager approves or rejects the goal assignment.

The manager’s manager is notified about the goal assignment. They can either approve or reject the goal assignment.

After the manager’s manager approves or rejects the goal assignment, the corresponding goal plan is unlocked on the manager’s Goals Center. If the manager’s manager has approved the assignment, then the manager can see that the goal’s assigned when they view their team member’s Goals page.

Streamline your organization’s goal assignment process by enabling approvals for goal assignment of managers. This will ensure that only the needed goals are assigned to team members.

Steps to Enable

To enable Redwood Goals Center and next level of approval for goal assignment, you need to enable the profile options indicated in the table.

NOTE: The Performance Document, Check-in, and Goals Center features are closely connected. So, the Redwood version of these pages can all be enabled or disabled only using the common ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. These features can't be enabled individually.
