Enhanced Payroll Costing Report

You can now run the Payroll Costing Report as an extract-based report instead of the legacy BI Publisher report. The extract-based version delivers better scalability and higher performance for large payroll volumes, along with flexible output options including Excel, Text, and XML.

Use the enhanced Payroll Costing Report task to run the Payroll Costing Report as an extract-based report instead of using the legacy BI Publisher report. This extract-based report provides better scalability, higher performance, and flexible output options.

Steps to Enable

Follow these steps to opt-in this feature using the Switch Task Action Version flow.

1. Navigate to the Switch Task Action Version flow pattern.
2. From the Task List of Values, select Run Payroll Costing Report.
3. Choose the new task version Extract-based Report.
4. Mark the Extract-based Report as the active task action.
5. Run flows as usual — all flows referencing the Payroll Costing Report task will now use the extract-based version.

Note: In new implementations, the extract-based report is available by default, ensuring a smooth transition to the enhanced reporting capability.
