End Date Offer Assignments for Abandoned Offers

Take advantage of the new setting to end date offer assignments for abandoned offers. End dating offer assignment is available for offers in these scenarios:

  • Offers in the Offer phase.
  • Offers in a custom phase that’s after the Offer phase and before the HR phase.
  • Offers in a terminal state of the Offer phase or custom phase that’s after the Offer phase and before the HR phase.

Here’s useful information about different scenarios.

  • Job applications in HR phase - Once the offer is end dated, the job application moves to HR - Processed and the following message is displayed: " This job application is moved to the processed state because the job offer associated to it is end dated as configured by your administrator."
    • When a job application is in HR - Processing in Progress and there’s a pending worker record for that job application, once the offer is end dated, the job application will move to the Processed state and the pending worker record won’t be deleted. You can use that pending worker record and convert it into an employee if needed.

  • Job applications in Offer Phase or custom phase - Once the offer is end dated, the job application moves to Rejected by Employer and the following message is displayed: "This job application is moved to the rejected by employer state because the job offer associated to it is end dated as configured by your administrator."

This feature will eliminate the scenario where offer assignments for abandoned offers are not end-dated, which results in role provisioning, incorrect journey allocation, and time card visibility problems for managers in incorrect department or organization. Also, this would greatly improve the performance of offer and HR list page searches.

Steps to Enable

A new setting is available in the Enterprise Recruiting and Candidate Experience Information task, in the Setup and Maintenance work area. The setting is in the End Dating Offer Assignments section and it's called For Abandoned Offers After. For details, see How do I end date offer assignments?
