Redwood Experience: Defaulting and Validation Rules for Job Requisition Details Page

You can create defaulting and validation rules in Visual Builder Studio for the job requisition details page (view and edit job requisition flow).

Here are some examples of supported use cases:

  • Default the internal and external posting end date to the posting start date plus 30 days.
  • Default the Recruiting Organization Description and Employer Description values based on the Organization field in the requisition.
  • Default Employee Referral Bonus field based on the Location and Grade.
  • Ability to show a warning message when the recruiter selected on a job requisition doesn’t have a job with a specific job function.
  • Populate requisition descriptive flexfields (DFF) with the YES or NO value if the hiring manager has a manager type of "Matrix Manager". Matrix Manager type is a different manager type than Line Manager.

With this feature, you can trigger defaulting and validation rules when users are editing a job requisition. This ensure the correct data is entered in the requisition and to the downstream systems.

Steps to Enable

To use the job requisition details page, you need to enable these profile options:

  • ORA_IRC_RECRUITING_REDWOOD_ENABLED
  • ORA_IRC_REQUISITION_REDWOOD_ENABLED
