Job Requisition Index Upgrade
You can opt to run the Load and Index Job Requisitions scheduled process ahead of the 26A release.
This enhancement ensures a seamless candidate experience and minimizes business disruption during future system updates.
Steps to Enable
Note: If you're currently using map-based search, run this process now at a time that has the least impact on candidate activities. This will provide a smoother experience for your users. Even if don't use map-based job search, Oracle still recommends that you run this process at a time that's convenient for you and that has the least impact on candidate activities. In 26B , this job will be run automatically during upgrade, which could result in unexpected downtime.
To enable this feature now. run the Load and Index Job Requisitions scheduled process with mode = Upgrade. For details see Which scheduled processes are used in Recruiting?
- Check the log file for the Maintain Candidate and Job Requisitions scheduled process to verify that it has run. This is required to update the index mapping. The log file should show the following message: "There has been a change in the index mapping and the ESS job 'Load and Index Requisition' with 'Indexing Mode' parameter as 'Upgrade Current Index' needs to be run to enable new features delivered in the current release." - Run the Load and Index Requisitions scheduled process with indexing mode = Upgrade Current Index. This is required to update the index mapping on Oracle Search server.
