As administrators, when you configure goal plans, you can now specify the goal setting dates for the goal plan. You can also specify if employees can add or edit goals after the end date of the goal setting period.

Note that these settings don’t apply to managers and HR specialists. They can continue to add, edit, delete, or cancel goals even after the end of the goal setting period.

Employees can do these actions after the end of the goal setting period:

  • Extend goals from another goal plan.
  • Submit their goal plan for approval.

Enhance goal management by specifying a period in which employees can set goals and controlling the actions that employees can do on their goals after the end of the goal setting period.

Steps to Enable

To enable Redwood Goals Center, you need to enable the profile options indicated in the table.

NOTE: The Performance Document, Check-in, and Goals Center features are closely connected. So, the Redwood version of these pages can all be enabled or disabled only using the common ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. These features can't be enabled individually.

Tips And Considerations

  • The goal setting period won’t be available for primary goal plans.
  • The start date of the goal setting period is only for information and isn’t enforced. Employees or managers can add goals even before the start date of the goal setting period.
  • Employees can’t edit goals for which their managers request more information during goal approval if no editing is allowed after the end of the goal setting period.
  • If the goal plan configuration or the mass assignment configuration doesn’t allow workers to update goals, then the setting for allowing employees to edit, delete, or cancel goals after the end date of the goal setting period is ignored.
