Action Parameters Default Changes

Global Payroll has delivered HCM Extract reports to optimize XML data processing and reduce server loads for reports that use archived data, such as the payslips. For the UK, some of the Global Payroll action parameters defaults have been changed in the form of overrides because they directly impact the report output for these processes: 

• P60 and P60 print
• P11D
• Pensions Automatic Enrolment Letters
• BIK Annual Benefits Statement. 

Overrides for Action Parameter Defaults

In the above predefined flows, the default for ORA_PAYSLIP_SKIP_BI_SERVER is now overridden to No. A a new task, and a flow task parameter of type CONST with a default value of No matching the action parameter name is available in these flows. Setting this value in the Legislative Parameters will no longer work due to updates in Global Payroll. 

Here are the main changes for the Global Payroll Action Parameter Defaults that will overridden by the new task and flow task parameter in the predefined flows:

Action Parameter	Purpose	New Default
ORA_XML_DATA_SOURCE	Fetch XML from DB instead of BIP job	Set to Yes for all reports. If Skip BI starts with Yes then it will be Yes otherwise it will be taken as N.
ORA_PAYSLIP_SKIP_BI_SERVER	Generate DOR-PDFs outside of BIP memory	Adjusted to generate DOR-PDFs outside BIP memory if XML_DATA_SOURCE=N

The updates to the action parameters ensure performance improvement for existing flows.
