Workforce Schedule Assistant
The Workforce Schedule Assistant is an AI-powered agent that answers scheduling and workload questions, assigns shifts, and recommends the best-fit workers in real time. It reduces manual effort while improving coverage, FTE balance, and compliance.
Built on Oracle’s AI Agent framework and powered by large language models (LLMs), the advisor understands natural language queries and responds with accurate, secure information based on schedule manager data access and role privileges. It also provides deep links to go directly to the Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Apps pages.
This Agent can:
- Understand natural language requests and automatically route them to the correct scheduling, workload, or staffing action
- Provide real-time visibility into workload plans, schedule coverage, open and filled shifts, and staffing gaps
- Compare planned vs. actual workload and validate synchronization with schedule coverage
- Assign and unassign workers to shifts with built-in compliance and validation checks
- Monitor FTE utilization to identify over- and under-scheduled workers
- Recommend best-fit eligible workers for open shifts based on availability, FTE, on-call status, and rules
This assistant is:
- Preconfigured: It's ready to deploy immediately, requiring no other setup or configuration.
- Secure: It strictly follows your configured data access and role privileges and remains in sync with the reporting hierarchy
- Context-aware: It understands the workforce schedule data for your departments, locations and dates. The more information provided on input, the better!
- Conversational: It responds to requests in natural language, making it easy and more intuitive to find information
Examples of Employee Questions the Agent Can Answer:
- “What is my workload plan for Oncology this week?”
- “Am I understaffed or overstaffed tomorrow?”
- “How many open shifts do I have for Cardiology this weekend?”
- “Who is eligible to work the 7a–7p open shift in Cardiology on Friday?”
- “Assign Abigail Austin to the 7a–7p shift tomorrow.”
- “Unassign John Smith from the night shift on Saturday.”
Reduces the time and effort required to manage schedules by providing workload analysis, shift assignments, and staffing decisions through natural language interactions. It helps organizations maintain proper coverage, improve FTE utilization, and reduce compliance risk by proactively identifying staffing gaps and issues. By turning complex scheduling data into immediate answers and actions, the agent enables managers to make faster, more confident decisions.
