Redwood QuickPay and QuickPay Cycle Flows
The Redwood QuickPay and QuickPay Cycle flows provide the flexibility to quickly submit and manage payroll calculations and processes for a single employee when required. You can review and edit employee entries on the Redwood Earnings and Deductions page and submit a QuickPay flow from the same page.
The Redwood QuickPay design supports two flow patterns as given in this table.
Redwood QuickPay Flows
|
Flow Name |
What it does |
|
QuickPay |
Submits a QuickPay to calculate an employee's earnings for a specific pay period. |
|
QuickPay Cycle |
Submits a QuickPay Cycle to perform all necessary tasks to calculate an employee's earnings for a specific pay period and generate the payments and a payslip. |
Navigation
You can navigate to the QuickPay flows using any of these navigation paths:
- QuickPay quick action from the Payroll region on your Home Page under the My Client Groups tab. You are taken to the QuickPay flow from the Person Search page.
- Submit QuickPay option in the context of a person from the Redwood Earnings and Deductions page. The default flow is the QuickPay Cycle flow.
Task Selection for QuickPay Cycle Flow
The QuickPay Cycle flow includes these flow tasks:
- Retropay
- Quick Prepayments
- Archive Periodic Results
- Make EFT Payments
- Generate Check Payments
- Generate Payslip
Select the tasks you wish to include in your flow. These rules apply.
- The Calculate QuickPay task is selected and included by default, and you can’t deselect the task.
- Retropay task is optional and is executed only if the employee has unprocessed retroactive events. After completion of the process, you are taken to the Redwood Earnings and Deduction page where you can view the entries to be processed for this QuickPay, including any created by the Retropay process.
- You can select the last task in the tasks list and all other tasks prior to the selected task, except the Retropay task, gets selected automatically.
Auto Skip Option
A new auto skip feature automatically skips tasks that aren’t relevant or applicable for the flow instance, as given here:
- Retropay task when the employee doesn’t have unprocessed retroactive events.
- Generate Check Payments task when the employee doesn’t have check payments.
- Generate EFT Payments task when the employee doesn’t have EFT payments.
View QuickPay Details
The QuickPay page displays the list of tasks included in the flow and the status of the tasks.
Each task in the QuickPay Cycle flow will be automatically processed until a task needs to be verified or the end of the flow is reached. If required use the Verify option to view and verify results before proceeding to the next task in the flow.
You can navigate directly between the tasks and view the details. For example, you can navigate back to the Flow Parameters task to view the flow parameter details.
Similarly, once a task is completed, you can view the results directly on the page. For example, once the Calculate QuickPay task is completed, you can view the Statement of Earnings (SOE) and also navigate to the other results pages.
Use the new Redwood QuickPay flows to quickly process and manage payroll calculations and processes for a single employee as required. You can use the QuickPay Cycle flow to include tasks as required and view and verify results before proceeding to the next task in the flow.
