Twilio Support for WhatsApp Communications

You can now use Twilio as a service provider for WhatsApp communications with candidates.

Here are a few considerations when using Twilio:

WhatsApp Templates

  • You can’t edit templates once they’re sent for approval.
  • If you switch between providers or within the same provider across multiple accounts, after templates have approved, Oracle doesn’t provide support for template migration or synchronization of templates between providers. You may manage this transition by following these steps:
    • Delete the existing templates before switching to another provider or account.
    • Switch to the new provider.
    • Recreate the templates under the new provider and submit them for approval.
  • To get the latest status of WhatsApp templates, always use the Get WhatsApp Template Statuses button as the template statuses aren’t automatically refreshed with Twilio.

Message Length

For details on the maximum number of characters allowed in WhatsApp messages, refer to the Twilio documentation in the Key Resources section.

Business Benefit: This feature gives recruiters more flexibility to reach candidates on their preferred channel and reduce the dependency on a single provider.

Steps to enable and configure

To use this feature, you must add Twilio as a service provider.
