Redwood Experience for Balance Adjustment

Use Adjust Individual Balances in Redwood to correct a worker's payroll balances as of a selected date. Start an adjustment by Balance when you know the balance to correct or start by Adjustment Element when you know the eligible element to use. 

Now you can:

  • Add multiple balance adjustments in a single transaction, and calculate and review all impacted balances with before and after values across supported period types. View the overall impact or the impact of a specific adjustment value.
  • Provide separate costing information for each balance adjustment in a single submission.
  • Apply the same Include in Payment Balance setting to all balance adjustments in a single transaction.
  • View eligible elements, required balance contexts, and balance-feeding input values based on the effective date.
  • Navigate directly from the Redwood Balance Results page to the Redwood Balance Adjustment page.
  • Review complete results for balance adjustments submitted from the Adjust Individual Balances Redwood page on the Redwood Result Details page.

This feature reduces manual effort and simplifies balance corrections. It provides greater control and confidence when handling payment and costing for multiple balance adjustments.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

The Adjust Individual Balances Redwood page is enabled by default. The Redwood Balance Adjustment Page Enabled (ORA_PAY_BALANCE_ADJUSTMENT_REDWOOD_ENABLED) profile option is delivered with a value of Yes.

Here's how you enable it (if it's disabled):

  1. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Tasks panel > Search > Manage Administrator Profile Values.
  2. Search for and select the ORA_PAY_BALANCE_ADJUSTMENT_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option.
  3. In the Profile Values section, click Add.
  4. Select Site to specify the level at which the profile value is to be set.
  5. Set the profile value to Yes.
  6. Save your changes.

NOTE: The Enable VBCS Progressive Web Application User Interface (ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED) central profile option must also be enabled (set to Y).
