Redwood Experience for Payroll Components

You can now use the Payroll Components page to view and manage payroll components in the Redwood user experience.

Access the page from My Client Groups > Payroll > Payroll Components. The new page consolidates overlapping navigation from the Payroll Calculation Information and Component Group Rules pages into a single page.

Now you can:

  • Search for payroll components by name or code.
  • Filter the list by predefined status or component group.
  • Review payroll component details, references, and related elements in a single drawer.
  • Edit customer-created payroll components. Seeded payroll components remain read-only.
  • Open Element Summary from a related element to review its calculation factors.

NOTE: In 26D, when you enable the Redwood Payroll Components page, the Payroll Calculation Information and Component Group Rules pages remain available for viewing and managing Wage Basis Rules. A new Redwood page for Wage Basis Rules is planned for a future release.

This feature provides improved usability and navigation.

Steps to enable and configure

Set the Redwood Page for Payroll Component Enabled (ORA_PAY_PAYROLL_COMPONENT_REDWOOD_ENABLED) profile option to Y to enable the Redwood Payroll Components page.

  1. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Tasks panel > Search > Manage Administrator Profile Values.
  2. Search for and select the Redwood Page for Payroll Component Enabled (ORA_PAY_PAYROLL_COMPONENT_REDWOOD_ENABLED) profile option.
  3. In the Profile Values section, click Add.
  4. Select Site to specify the level at which the profile value is to be set.
  5. Save your changes.

NOTE: The Enable VBCS Progressive Web Application User Interface (ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED) central profile option must also be enabled.

Access requirements

Users must have the Manage Payroll Deduction Group Rule (PAY_MANAGE_PAYROLL_DEDUCTION_VALUE_GROUP) function privilege to access the Redwood Payroll Components page.
